How to reconnect with others again post-pandemic

How to reconnect with others again post-pandemic

As the days get longer and the sun shines brighter, we begin to see the light at the end of a very long tunnel. As more of us receive the Covid-19 vaccine, life is slowly starting to return to normal, and the feeling is almost indescribable.

While we slowly reacquaint ourselves with the real world outside our computer, phone, and TV screens, it’s important to remember to embrace all of the feelings these changes bring and be kind to ourselves as we face another new normal. The challenges of being locked down and disconnected from each other physically are now replaced with happier challenges, but challenges nonetheless.

Coming out of your quarantine cocoon may naturally cause social anxiety or nervousness. Some have a lot (like me), some just a little (like Rene). As we navigate these times, we encourage you to lean in, find your center and realize things have changed, but not necessarily for the worst. The separation time has reinvigorated our desire to be close to our friends and family, and I believe that time together will feel much more valuable.

Reconnecting with people we haven’t seen in over a year means embracing any awkwardness and acknowledging it. It is unlikely that anyone is exactly the same as they were before Covid-19. Our bodies and minds have been through so much and, naturally, we all have changed. Remember to be authentic. It’s okay to feel the way you feel, and your friends most likely feel the same. If you’re feeling nervous before meeting up with friends, give them a call or text first. Establish your comfort levels and reconnect with them.

On a personal note, Rene and I did something we hadn’t done in a year last Saturday night: we picked up friends and ate at a restaurant. I feared my anxiety would consume me, but instead of feeling anxious, I was able to enjoy it.

My secret was simple - Mindset Wellness CBD.

Before I left the house, I took a Happy CBD Gummies and Calm CBD Gummies. As the CBD naturally turned down the volume on my growing social anxiety, I became more myself. While it was strange to be out again, the combination of Mindset Wellness CBD and my best friends eased my nerves.

Don’t let your anxiety stop you from reconnecting. I offer you the same advice I do when anyone starts taking CBD. Go slow and build.

In my case, Mindset Wellness CBD naturally reduced my social anxiety, making reconnecting post-pandemic more enjoyable.
